Radical space: past, present and future
Tuesday, December 7, 6:30-8pm
U of M West Bank, Blegen Hall 150
269 19th Ave S., Minneapolis MN 55455 (more info below)
Join us for a facilitated discussion of radical spaces in the Twin Cities: successes and failures, possibilities, and upcoming struggles. How can social movements both on campus and off build strength through spaces of our own?
Representatives from past and current spaces in the Twin Cities, as well as from current struggles fighting for political and cultural space at the U of M, will be invited.
About MARS: MARS is an anti-authoritarian collective opening a new space in south Minneapolis by early 2011. To strengthen cultures of resistance, we plan to create a social and political activity hub offering meeting space, a radical library/infoshop, independent mediamaking center, event space, regular workshops and skillshares, and more. In our organizing, we aim to actively challenge heteropatriachy, white supremacy, economic injustice, and other forms of domination and oppression. FFI: email@example.com or http://marscollective.org.
