Help Create the Wheel Sexy Cabaret, Jan 10-17

Wheel Sexy Cabaret is a bicycle-themed cabaret with the goal of celebrating bicyclists’ bodies with humor and sex-positive performances.  WSC will be facilitated by Elle Thoni and Amber Davis, who like to bike and like to make plays (sometimes they make plays professionally, sometimes not. They do not bike professionally, but maybe they should start).

We are looking for performers of all orientations to perform and to lend their bodies and skills for WSC, taking place in March at the Bryant Lake Bowl.  We are contacting you because you’re creative, you’re sexy, you’re a bicyclist!  If you are interested in learning more, please come to our community round table discussion, “Chain of Thought” on Tuesday, Jan 10th 5 – 7p

Our diverse ensemble will use elements of burlesque, comedy, dance and live music to construct a cabaret with a bicycle theme. Do you have an idea and want to share it? Totally cool. Don’t have an idea? We can help you create, develop, and finesse a short performance piece, at any stage of creation!

More community brain storming sessions to follow:

1. Chain of Thought, a community bicycle/burlesque round table discussion. Tues, Jan 10th 5 – 7pm

2. Get in Gear, open workshop for prospective artists to improvise ideas. Sat, Jan 14th 11am – 1pm

3. Let’s Ride, our “Not-Auditions. ”  Monday Jan 16th, 6pm-8pm & Tuesday Jan 17th 6pm-8pm

All events will be at the Minnehaha Free Space.

Rehearsals will be scheduled throughout February, and a small tech in March before our first production.

WSC final performances are at the Bryant Lake Bowl on March 1st, 8th, and 9th at 10:00pm.

Email us at wheelsexy [at] gmail [dot] com with any questions, and we hope to see you soon!
