National Assata Shakur Liberation Day

Saturday November 2, 7pm

CELEBRATE ASSATA’S FREEDOM & DEMAND:

-That she not be designated a terrorist
-That the $2 million bounty be rescinded
-Respect for her political asylum & freedom under Cuban sovereignty
-Freedom for all state & federal political prisoners

In 1979, Black Panther/Black Liberation Army revolutionary Assata Shakur escaped from a New Jersey prison, where she was serving a life sentence. She currently lives in forced exile in Cuba.

*Join us for an evening of brief presentations & discussion on Assata’s case & current situation, & letter-writing to her co-defendant, Sundiata Acoli, serving a life term in prison stemming from the same incident. The event is free, but donations will go towards Sundiata’s support fund. This event will be family-friendly; childcare available by request.*
